Story

In 2009, “Y by YOSHIKI” was born as a collaborative project by renowned Japanese artist YOSHIKI and Napa Valley winemaker and 4th generation vintner, Rob Mondavi Jr. The grapes are sourced from premium vineyards across California and express the artistry, quality and creativity of this unique partnership.

This California series is described by YOSHIKI as “smart casual” that is not only for wine lovers but also fits in with your everyday lifestyle.

Tasting Note

Beautiful amber in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases the vintage perfectly. The warm growing season gave this wine its rich and dark character. The nose is filled with black cherry, blackberry, cassis, and fig, which is perfectly complimented with notes of sage and coriander. The palate is silky upon entry and opens up to juicy blackberry and black cherry. The balanced acid and well-integrated tannin give this wine energy and length and leads to a beautiful raspberry and spice on the back palate. Harmonious and lively, the flavors linger to create an enduring finish with touches of dark chocolate and espresso.
