Story

With the 2008 vintage, the collaboration between YOSHIKI and his winemaking partner, Rob Mondavi Jr., began. In 2018, to celebrate their tenth anniversary together, they released the limited Y by YOSHIKI Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa Valley 2016, which is sourced exclusively from the world-renowned cabernet sauvignon growing region in the Napa Valley called “Oakville”—also home of legendary wineries such as Screaming Eagle, Harlan and Opus One, just to name a few.

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, which YOSHIKI proudly presented as “a masterpiece”, gained reputation and demands for the next vintage came pouring in. Based on this success, YOSHIKI is proud to announce the launch the second vintage of the Oakville series, Y by YOSHIKI Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Napa Valley 2017.

Tasting Note

This expressive Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon entices with aromas of blueberry, black cherry, currant & tobacco. As the wine continues to open, notes of juniper berry, cinnamon, clove, and fig develop in the glass. The palate is rich and complex with seamlessly integrated layers of brooding dark fruits & robust tannins. This wine finishes with flavors of cocoa, vanilla, and cardamom. The last sip in your glass is the most treasured as it has only begun to tell its story. This wine while showcasing beautifully in its youth has the potential for aging 15 to 20 years.
